Basil or what I like to say “Bae”-sil is so so good for us! It naturally has antibacterial properties, it’s anti-inflammatory, has anti-oxidants and when eaten can also help ease stress in the body!
Enjoy this recipe on sandwiches, flatbreads, pizzas, pasta, or baked on top of meats (chicken, fish, etc.), or simply as a dip for veggies.

2 cups fresh basil washed
1/4 cup roasted pumpkin seeds or pepitas
Tip #1: Try buying raw pumpkin seeds and roasting them yourself on the stove top with a little salt and oil for best flavor!
2-3 garlic cloves
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1/2 cup olive oil + extra for consistency
salt to taste
1. Throw in all the ingredients in a food processor.
2. Blend until ingredients are well combined. If the mixture looks too thick, you may keep adding olive oil until you reach your desired consistency.
3. Add salt to taste and enjoy!
