Steel Cut Oatmeal With Walnuts and Bananas

  • 1/4 cup cooked steel cut oats
  • 1/4 cup of fat-free milk
  • 1 Tbsp natural walnuts
  • 1 small banana cut into slices (or blueberries)
  • 1 tsp ground flaxseed


  1. Boil 1 cup of water over high heat. Add 1/4 cup of steel-cut oats. Reduce heat and cook, occasionally stirring for 25 minutes, until the oatmeal is soft.
  2. Add fat-free milk, walnuts, sliced banana, and a teaspoon of ground flaxseed. Mix and serve.
